CNC Programmer and OperatorHourly Rate: $29.56DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY: To program and operate, when needed, CNC machinery while assisting management with leading and improving processes in the Quantum Fabrication department.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Perform as the Strong 2nd and back up to the Quantum Fabrication & Engineering ManagerProgram CNC machinery, source tooling, and assist with design/construct fixturing for product launchesAssist with developing work instructionsUtilize lifecycle management software (Agile) to create and manage Bills of Material (BOM's)Assist with setting up machines and communicating instructions for operating to team membersCapitalize on strong organizational skills to facilitate product transition from quote to product release into productionResearch better machining methods to improve job efficienciesAssist Management with:Product launches within Quantum Fabrication by coordinating with all departments involved to ensure quality product is delivered to the end userDeveloping processes to manufacture product as efficiently as possibleMonitoring existing processes and implement changes accordingly to eliminate non-value-added work contentDesigning, fabricating and implementing fixtures for use with CNC machinery ensuring that designs are safe, effective, manufacturable, reliable and meet quality system compliancePerform daily floor supportTroubleshoot any issues with existing processes and programsPerform various tasks including product packaging, assembling fabricated parts at floor stations, and performing basic operations on standard manufacturing machinery, as neededOperate and maintain all types of heavy machinery/equipment, as neededMachine and fabricate parts to print specifications, as neededEnsure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to managementComplete the Annual CTPAT Security TrainingFocus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgmentWork effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectationsAssist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all timesPride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessaryREQUIRED SKILLS:Must be a friendly team player, detail-oriented, and honestMust have the ability to:Safely operate heavy equipment that is known to interfere with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators and other electrical medical implantsMulti-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environmentBe cross-trained for multiple jobs within assigned work area(s)Work under general supervision and direction from leadership teamOperate machines safely with minimal supervisionRely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsUse precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gagesOperate basic machine shop equipment, such as milling machines, lathes, drill press, and band sawsRead and comprehend work instructionsPush/Pull/Lift 40 lbs.Must have:Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvementA willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methodsAdvanced working knowledge of MasterCam CNC programming softwareIntermediate knowledge of maintaining and upgrading different machinesIntermediate technical and analytical skillsBasic computer and mathematics skillsBasic understanding of production proceduresBasic quality inspection skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsPREFERRED SKILLS:Basic working knowledge of 3D modeling software preferredMIG/TIG welding skills preferredREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:At least 2 years of experience as a CNC programmer utilizing MasterCam softwareAt least 4 years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environmentPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:At least 4 years of experience as a CNC programmer utilizing MasterCam software preferredAt least 6 years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment preferredAt least 1 year of welding experience preferredCurrent or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products®/Quantum Rehab® preferredREQUIRED EDUCATION:High School Diploma or GEDPREFERRED EDUCATION:Technical school training in related field preferredDETAILS:This job description is not intended to be all-inclusiveThis is a safety sensitive positionIn exceptional circumstances, some of the physical requirements of this position may be modified or eliminated as a reasonable accommodation for a person with a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities ActPride Mobility Products®/Quantum Rehab® is an Equal Opportunity employer.
