CNC Operator

CNC OperatorWe are hiring CNC Operators for a full-time manufacturing opportunity in Victoria, TX. This position is responsible for safely operating CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts according to engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and production requirements.Operators may work with CNC lathes, vertical mills, horizontal mills, or other production equipment based on operational needs. Previous CNC experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience.Essential FunctionsSafely operate assigned CNC equipmentLoad and unload raw materials, workpieces, fixtures, and finished partsRead and follow blueprints, work orders, manufacturing travelers, and work instructionsMonitor machine operations to ensure quality and production efficiencyPerform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipmentUse calipers, micrometers, gauges, and scales to verify product qualityDeburr and finish parts using hand tools and deburring knivesOperate hand drills, pneumatic tools, and other equipment as requiredAccurately count parts and complete production documentationIdentify and report quality concerns, equipment malfunctions, and safety hazardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaCross-train and operate additional production equipment as assignedSkills & CompetenciesStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsBasic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentagesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and work instructionsAbility to use precision measuring equipmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to recognize quality defects and take appropriate actionAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to adapt to changing production prioritiesQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructionsBasic mathematical skillsAbility to perform physical labor throughout the shiftAbility to maintain regular and reliable attendancePreferred:High school diploma or GEDPrevious manufacturing experiencePrevious CNC machining or machine operation experienceExperience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring toolsBasic computer skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for the majority of an 8–10 hour shiftAbility to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and reachAbility to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and upper-body movementsAbility to lift and carry up to 60 lbsAbility to push and pull carts, fixtures, materials, or equipment weighing up to 100 lbsAbility to safely work around moving machinery, forklifts, and production equipmentAbility to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear
