CNC OperatorThis role involves setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and manual machining equipment to produce high-quality components within precise tolerances. You will interpret blueprints and work instructions, perform precision inspections, and ensure that all parts meet quality and safety standards while maintaining accurate production records.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machining equipment to produce parts to specification.Adjust tool and fixture offsets to maintain required part tolerances and dimensional accuracy.Read and interpret blueprints, product drawings, and work instructions to plan and execute machining operations.Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gages to verify conformance to specifications.Perform quality inspections during and after machining to ensure consistent product quality.Accurately complete work orders, production records, and related documentation.Troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate adjustments to improve process stability and part quality.Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CNC and manual machines to ensure reliable operation.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.Follow all quality, safety, and compliance procedures throughout daily operations.Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.Complete additional duties as assigned to support production and operational goals.Essential Skills2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred, including CNC machine setup and operation.Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC milling and turning equipment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and product drawings.Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gages.Strong understanding of precision measurement and maintaining tight tolerances.Ability to adjust tool and fixture offsets to achieve dimensional accuracy.Experience with quality inspection processes in a machining environment.Troubleshooting skills for resolving machining and equipment issues.Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices for CNC and manual machines.Commitment to safety compliance and following established procedures.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience completing work orders and production records accurately.Comfort working with both CNC and manual machining equipment.Willingness to participate in training and certification programs.Interest in continuous learning and professional growth in machining and manufacturing.Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and support staff.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a comprehensive package that supports their health, financial security, and personal well-being, including medical, vision, dental coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match. The role follows a first-shift schedule of Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., working four 10-hour days.
