CNC Lathe OperatorThis role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce precision-machined plastic components. You'll work with engineering plastics, interpret technical drawings, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards in a safe, organized environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathes to machine plastic parts per drawings and work instructionsSelect proper tools, feeds, and speeds for various plastics to optimize quality and efficiencyRead and interpret blueprints, sketches, and GD&TInspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracyPerform deburring, finishing, and basic machine maintenanceAdjust offsets, change tools, and troubleshoot machining issues to maintain qualityDocument production and inspection data and report nonconformancesMaintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety proceduresCollaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processesRequired Skills & Experience2+ years of lathe experience (CNC preferred; plastic machining a plus)Ability to read blueprints and GD&TExperience with precision measuring toolsStrong understanding of machining quality standards and shop safetyAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesPhysically able to stand for long periods and lift up to ~50 lbsPreferred QualificationsExperience with tight-tolerance, high-mix plastic machiningFamiliarity with CNC controls (Haas experience a plus)Technical or vocational training in machiningExperience in deburring/finishing and program or parameter adjustmentsStrong communication and teamwork skillsWhy This RoleJoin a professional manufacturing environment that values craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement.
