Multi-Process Fabrication TechnicianThis role operates under the general direction of a Production Supervisor and the daily guidance of a Multi-Process Cell Leader, performing multiple fabrication tasks within a full-scale production manufacturing environment. You will carry out routine and repetitive fabrication, mechanical assembly, and quality assurance processes by following established methods, policies, and procedures. This position offers multiple levels, and placement will depend on your experience, allowing you to grow your skills in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and precision measurement.ResponsibilitiesPerform multiple fabrication tasks in an assigned team, project, or functional area within a full-scale production manufacturing operation.Carry out routine and repetitive fabrication, mechanical assembly, and quality assurance processes in accordance with established methods, policies, and procedures.Operate general and electric hand tools and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks with limited complexity.Work from production schedules, work orders, drawings, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions to produce parts and assemblies.Maintain a high degree of accuracy and integrity while working to close tolerance levels of approximately +/-.010 to.030.Set up and operate CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal mills, and manual Bridgeport mills and lathes, as appropriate for your experience level.Read and interpret blueprints and use protractors and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.Participate in cell or fabrication projects, contributing to process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling.Perform general production and machine operating duties, including fabrication tasks using CNC machines and other shop equipment.Follow all safety procedures and quality standards while maintaining organized work areas and proper handling of tools and equipment.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 3 months of related experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or machine operation.Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of numbers, including decimals and fractions.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work from drawings, work orders, and written or verbal instructions.Experience using general and electric hand tools in a production or fabrication environment.Ability to maintain accuracy while working to close tolerance levels of approximately +/- .010 to.030.Basic familiarity with CNC machines, vertical and horizontal mills, and manual Bridgeport mills or lathes.Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, and scales.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in a deadline-intensive production environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsAerospace sheet metal fabrication experience is strongly preferred.Experience using adjustable measuring instruments, including calipers, protractors, and scales, is strongly preferred.Experience with machines such as Trumpf brake, press equipment, HAAS machines, and similar fabrication machinery is strongly preferred.Comfort working on process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, cost efficiency, and scheduling.Ability to collaborate within a multi-process cell structure under limited supervision.Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.Why Work Here?You will join a rapidly growing organization that values precision, cleanliness, and organization in its production environment. Safety standards are strictly enforced, with requirements such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection where applicable. The dress code includes closed-toe shoes, long pants, and t-shirts that are appropriate and non-vulgar.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
