CNC Operator II / Machine Room

CNC Operator IINesco Resource is hiring an exp CNC Operator II for the Machine Room / 1st shift for our Client in Conover, NC Pay: $16.00 hour / if solid work experience, will discuss a higher rate Hours: M-F 7a-3:30p Position Summary: The CNC Operator 2 performs intermediate CNC operations and supports production through machine setup tasks, offset adjustments, and limited program edits. This role requires greater technical knowledge, increased quality responsibility, and the ability to troubleshoot basic machining issues. Position Responsibilities:Load materials and set up CNC machines for production runsSet offsets and make simple CNC program edits as requiredIdentify tooling, router bit types, and sizesRead and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructionsUse calipers and measuring tools to verify part accuracyMonitor work?in?process and track live production ordersIdentify and correct out?of?tolerance conditions within scopeCommunicate production or quality issues to supervisionMaintain equipment and work area cleanlinessFollow all safety and LOTO proceduresEssential Skills and Experience:CNC operator training or equivalent hands?on experienceAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsWorking knowledge of CNC controls and offsetsBasic understanding of G?code and machining processesStrong organizational and quality?focused mindsetPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Frequently lift 35–50 lbs; team lift required for heavier itemsContinuous standing, walking, bending, and material handlingRepetitive hand use for part loading and inspectionIndoor manufacturing environment with controlled airflowRequires close visual acuity for precision machiningCOM135 Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
