CNC OperatorLocation: Clayton, NC Company: Studio TK (Commercial Furniture Manufacturer) Department: Production (Frame Up) Reports To: Production SupervisorPosition SummaryThe CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating woodworking CNC machines (currently Biesse) to fabricate and modify plywood components with a high degree of accuracy. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality through precise machining and inspection processes.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and work orders to determine machining operations and optimal sequencingSet up, program, operate, and maintain CNC woodworking machines to produce precision componentsMeasure, lay out, and verify dimensions and tolerances using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)Inspect machined parts to ensure adherence to quality standards and specificationsIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve machine faults; modify and debug CNC programs as neededCalibrate and adjust machine programs to maintain accuracy and efficiencyDevelop and implement corrective actions for any specification deviationsPerform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor part replacementMaintain accurate inspection records and complete quality reportsManage and monitor plywood stock inventory levelsCollaborate with supervisors, leads, and team members to support production goalsPerform other related duties as assignedEnvironment, Health & Safety (EHS)Consistently follow all EHS policies, procedures, and general safety rulesDemonstrate initiative in working safely, including identifying and reporting hazardsActively participate in EHS programs and continuous improvement effortsSafety glasses and steel toe shoes must be worn at all timesSafety gloves and hearing protection are available and should be used as neededMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to read and interpret production drawings, blueprints, and work instructions3–5 years of experience operating CNC woodworking machinery in a furniture, cabinetry, or similar manufacturing environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityPreferred:Post-secondary or industry training in machining or CNC programmingCompensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation package.
