CNC OperatorThis role focuses on operating CNC machines, specifically CNC lathes (Mazak), to produce high-quality components that meet or exceed customer expectations. You will interpret blueprints, set up and adjust tooling, perform in-process inspections, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate production.Responsibilities:Operate CNC machines, with a primary focus on CNC lathes (including Mazak equipment).Read and interpret blueprints to understand part specifications and machining requirements.Select appropriate feeds and speeds for each job, change out tooling, and perform necessary machine offsets.Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to production, service, quality, and safety.Work closely with various departments to coordinate workflow and complete products on time.Ensure that quality performance consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations.Use all available communication channels to share information quickly, clearly, and accurately.Ensure the accuracy of inventory transactions and complete all documentation required for each job.Determine whether required tooling and fixtures are available and identify approved substitutes when needed.Perform thorough in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other quality inspection tools.Maintain flexibility to work in other departments as needed, once cross-trained.Follow all safety guidelines and remain safety conscious at all times in the machine shop environment.Carry out other duties as assigned to support production and shop operations.Essential Skills:At least 6 months of CNC operating experience on a lathe.Hands-on experience operating CNC lathes.Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.Proficiency using micrometers and calipers for quality inspection.Understanding of basic CNC machining principles, including feeds, speeds, tooling changes, and offsets.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.Strong communication skills to share information effectively across departments.Ability to follow safety procedures and work safely in a machine shop environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience with Mazak CNC lathes (strongly preferred).Experience with CNC setup, including tooling and fixture setup.Understanding of Mazatrol or conversational programming.Familiarity with quality inspection tools and processes in a machining environment.Ability to work flexibly across different departments once trained.Why Work Here?You will join a stable operation in a growing industry with significant semiconductor-related work, offering steady employment and long-term opportunity. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
