CNC Modig MachinistSalary Range $18.00 - $22.00 HourlyDescriptionResponsible for the set up and operation of the Modig machine cell, as well as checking first parts using precision measuring equipment.ResponsibilitiesConfigure mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programsLoad machines with work piecesVerify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpiecesMaintain specifications by observing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; editing programs; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processesAccomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsMeet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and qualityMiscellaneous tasks as assignedQualificationsMinimum of three years of experience in an aerospace/aircraft machine shopExperience with Modig machines/controls is preferredExperience with Multi-Axis CNC Machines is a mustAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift at least 50 lbs.Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing settingMust have reliable transportationAbility to read and write EnglishProficient in blue print readingKnowledge of hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometersAbility to stay on task with minimal supervisionProblem solving skills a mustStrong communication skills and a good eye to detail
