The expectations are high.And that's exactly why many of our machinists choose to stay.We're looking for an experienced CNC Mill Turn Machinist who can independently set up, troubleshoot, optimize, and run advanced multi-axis machining centers while helping us continuously improve manufacturing performance.This is a role for a machinist who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and taking ownership from setup through stable production.CNC Setup & MachiningSet up and operate multi-axis CNC mill-turn machinesRead blueprints, GD&T requirements, process sheets, and work instructionsDevelop efficient machining strategies for complex partsOptimize tooling, feeds, speeds, offsets, and cycle timesPerform in-process inspections and first article inspectionsMake NC program edits and process improvementsTroubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issuesSupport lights-out manufacturing initiativesMaintain repeatable, stable production processesCollaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teamsWhat Success Looks LikeSetups run consistently and repeatablyParts pass inspection the first timeMachines stay productive and efficientCycle times improveScrap and rework remain lowProcess improvements are implementedOpportunities for automation and lights-out production are identifiedEquipment You'll Work WithKMM's mill-turn department includes advanced equipment such as:Mori Seiki NZX -Axis Mill Turn CentersMori Seiki NLX 2500 Dual Spindle LathesMori Seiki NLX 1500SY Mill Turn CentersLive Tooling SystemsDual Turret ConfigurationsY-Axis MachiningC-Axis MachiningBar Feed SystemsIn-Process Probing SystemsAutomatic Finished-Part ConveyorsWhat We're Looking ForThis role is a strong fit for someone who is dependable, curious, and hands-on.Required Qualifications:5+ years CNC machining experienceExperience setting up and operating CNC mill-turn equipmentStrong knowledge of multi-axis machiningAbility to read engineering drawings and GD&TExperience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, or similar controlsStrong troubleshooting and process optimization skillsAbility to work independentlyPreferred Qualifications:Mori Seiki / DMG Mori experienceExperience with lights-out manufacturingMastercam or ESPRIT experienceExperience supporting medical, aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environmentsApprenticeship or technical school trainingPhysical RequirementsStand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequently use hands and fingers to operate machinery, tools, controls, gauges, and measuring instruments.Frequently reach, grasp, handle, and manipulate small parts and tooling components.Visually inspect parts, tooling, machine displays, blueprints, and measurement devices, including the ability to distinguish fine details and small dimensional variations.Read and interpret written instructions, blueprints, setup sheets, inspection reports, and digital production information.Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach while loading material, changing tools, cleaning machines, and performing routine maintenance.Lift, carry, push, or pull materials, tooling, and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance.Safely operate material handling equipment and lifting devices when required.Work around moving mechanical equipment, cutting tools, metal chips, coolants, lubricants, and other manufacturing-related materials.Tolerate exposure to moderate noise levels typical of a manufacturing environment while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).Maintain regular attendance and work scheduled overtime as needed to support production requirements.ITAR RequirementKMM is an ITAR-registered facility.
