Over the years, the company has evolved to become a leading supplier of general and precision machined parts for not only the aerospace industry but also for industrial and commercial applications.Projects Inc. is seeking a skilled Mill-Turn Machinist who has worked at an AS9100 company to set up and operate CNC mill-turn (multi-tasking) machines to produce high-quality, precision components.

This position is ideal for a machinist with solid experience who can work independently, troubleshoot routine issues, and consistently meet quality and production standards.Job ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC mill-turn / multitasking machinesInstall and align chucks, collets, fixtures, tooling, and live toolsLoad and qualify turning tools, milling cutters, drills, and probesSet work offsets, tool offsets, and basic probing routinesRun and make minor edits to CNC programs (G-code or conversational)Perform combined turning and milling operations including:OD/ID turning, facing, grooving, and threadingLive-tool milling, cross-drilling, and end-of-part machiningRead and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&TInspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances and finishesMake adjustments for tool wear and dimensional controlTroubleshoot common machining, tooling, and setup issuesPerform routine machine care and preventive maintenanceComplete job travelers and inspection documentationMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaRequirementsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred3–6 years of CNC machining experience with mill-turn or multi-axis equipmentWorking knowledge of combined milling and turning processesSolid blueprint reading skills and basic to intermediate GD&T knowledgeAbility to perform independent setups with minimal supervisionProficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators)Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsPreferred ExperienceExperience with mill-turn machines such as Okuma, or similarBasic CAM experience or program editingJob shop, aerospace, medical, or high-precision manufacturing backgroundExposure to ISO, AS9100, or similar quality systemsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Manual dexterity and attention to detailComfortable working in a machine shop environmentAcknowledgments:The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
