By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines.Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.Perform simulations and collision detection to validate programs.Optimize tool paths and machining parameters for efficiency and quality.Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists on process improvements.Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tooling lists.Troubleshoot and debug programs during first-off production runs.Recommended Qualifications5+ years experience in CNC programming for 3-axis mills.Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming.Expertise with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM).Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T.Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters.Experience with machine setup and operation for program prove-out.Bonus QualificationsExperience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for model review and tool path verification.Familiarity with a variety of machine controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas) beyond primary expertise.Knowledge of G-code and M-code editing and optimization directly at the machine.Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.Job Titles That Should ApplyCNC Mill Programmer, CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist Programmer, Manufacturing Engineer (CNC), CAM Programmer, CNC Programmer Specialist, CNC Programmer/Machinist, Milling Programmer, CNC Programmer - Milling, CNC Programmer AnalystWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
