By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines using CAM software.Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for various materials.Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy and avoid collisions.Optimize tool paths and machining processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturability.Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and operational instructions for machine operators.Troubleshoot and debug programs during first article runs and production.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM) for generating G-code.Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing.Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Minimum of 3 years of experience programming 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills.Knowledge of various tooling, fixtures, and workholding techniques.Experience with in-process inspection and metrology tools.Bonus QualificationsExperience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) beyond basic programming.Familiarity with different control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas) and their specific G-code dialects.Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.Experience with 5-axis machining.Knowledge of various tooling and workholding solutions.Job Titles That Should ApplyCNC Programmer, CNC Mill Programmer, CNC Machine Programmer, NC Programmer, CAM Programmer, Manufacturing Engineer (CNC), CNC Programmer/Machinist, CNC Programmer AnalystWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
