Meta Tech Industries is continuing to grow and is adding another experienced CNC Mill Machinist to support increasing work across aerospace, defense, oil & gas, and other high-precision industries.

This position is ideal for a machinist who enjoys taking ownership of the entire machining process-from setup through finished part-and thrives in a fast-paced, high-mix job shop environment.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate Haas CNC milling machines
• Edit CNC programs at the machine as required
• Machine precision components from engineering drawings
• Select tooling, establish workholding, and set offsets
• Produce low-volume prototype and production parts
• Hold tight tolerances while maintaining high quality standards
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify finished parts
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using machining math
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize production
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized

• Micrometers
• Indicators
• Precision measuring equipment
• Zeiss CMM and Keyence inspection systems (shop-wide)

What We're Looking ForRequired

• Previous CNC milling experience in a precision job shop
• Ability to independently perform machine setups
• Experience editing CNC programs at the machine
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds
• Experience using precision inspection equipment
• Strong machining math skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing quality parts

Preferred

• Experience with Haas machining centers
• Experience machining aerospace, defense, or oil & gas components
• Multi-axis machining experience
• Prototype machining experience
