CNC Mill Machinist - 2nd Shift

CNC Mill MachinistThis is a 2nd shift position, Monday-Thursday, four 10-hour shifts. Pays 8% differential. Sign on bonus $3000.Duties/ResponsibilitiesLoads, Unloads, Starts, and Stops Machines.Sets the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process.Watches gauges, dials, and other key indicators to make sure machines are working properly and workpieces meet quality standards.Monitors machines during operation in order to detect dull cutting tools and excessiveMeasures dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.Calculates and sets machine movements according to drawing specs.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of basic hand tools, including their uses and maintenance.Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.Ability to control the operations of machining equipment and systems.Basic mathematics knowledge, particularly Trigonometry.Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent.

0-3 years of experience in relevant field preferred.5S and Lean Manufacturing training.Basic Blueprint Reading.Documentation and Modern's Production System.Inspection Techniques for Machinists. SPC Charts and Tools. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
