CNC Machinist - Direct Hire/Permanent!Location: Yakima, WA Pay: DOEDuties:Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instrumentsRead blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) filesCalculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipersMachine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grindersMeasure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specificationsAlign and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machinesMonitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining processStudy sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate productsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentProven experience as a machinist or in a similar roleProficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measuring instrumentsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles is preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or CAD/CAM filesStrong attention to detail and ability to work with precisionKnowledge of welding techniques is a plusForklift certification is a plusExperience with plastics injection molding is a plus
