CNC MachinistHiFyve is hiring a CNC Machinist in the Aerospace & Precision Manufacturing industry in Winsted, CT!Salary: $25-$40/hour, based on shift and experienceShift: All ShiftsLocation: Winsted, CTJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathesMachine complex aerospace-grade and precision components to tight tolerancesInterpret advanced blueprints and GD&T callouts to ensure accurate productionAdjust tooling, offsets, and machining parameters to maintain part quality and precisionPerform in-process inspections and final quality validation using precision measurement toolsTroubleshoot machining issues and optimize setups for efficiency and consistencyCollaborate with engineering and programming teams on process improvementsMaintain a strong focus on minimizing scrap, rework, and production downtimeEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED requiredTechnical training or machining certification preferredAdditional CNC machining coursework or apprenticeship experience is a plusKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing or aerospace environmentStrong hands-on experience with multi-axis machiningAbility to confidently read and interpret blueprints and GD&TExperience working with controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, and/or MitsubishiStrong inspection skills using precision measuring instrumentsDetail-driven mindset with a strong commitment to quality and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a high-performance teamWillingness to work any shift as neededIf you are interested, please apply
