CNC MachinistSalary Range $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly Category ManufacturingDescriptionResponsible for the set up and operation of 3, 4 and 5 axis Haas CNC Machines, as well as checking first parts, using precision measuring and hand tools.ResponsibilitiesConfigure mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programsLoad machines with work piecesVerify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpiecesMaintain specifications by observing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; editing programs; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processesAccomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsMeet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and qualityMiscellaneous tasks as assignedQualificationsMinimum of two years experience in an aerospace/aircraft machine shop settingExperience with Multi-Axis CNC Machines a mustExperience with Haas machines/controls preferredAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift at least 50 lbs.Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing settingMust have reliable transportationAbility to read and write EnglishProficient in blue print readingKnowledge of hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometersAbility to stay on task with minimal supervisionProblem solving skills a mustStrong communication skills and a good eye to detail
