CNC MachinistWaltham, Massachusetts, United StatesAbout the Job CNC MachinistWe are seeking an experienced CNC Swiss-Type Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience setting up, operating, and maintaining Swiss-type CNC equipment and is comfortable working with Fanuc controls. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of general machine shop practices.
Candidates should also come equipped with their own machinist toolbox and the ability to work independently with precision and consistency.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and adjust CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components.Use Fanuc controls to run programs, make offsets, and ensure proper machine operation.Perform in-process inspection using standard metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).Troubleshoot issues related to tooling, machine performance, and part quality.Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area in line with standard machine shop practices.Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.QualificationsPrevious experience as a CNC Swiss-type Machinist required.Proficiency with Fanuc controls.Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, speeds, and feeds.Ability to work from prints and use precision measuring instruments.Must supply personal machinist tools/toolbox.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
