CNC MachinistThe CNC Machinist operates and maintains CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture and repair precision mechanical components used in industrial paper production equipment. This role ensures high-quality output while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Our client is based in The Woodlands, TX.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and adjust CNC lathes and milling machines based on technical drawings and specificationsManufacture, modify, and repair precision components for production machineryRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructionsInspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure tolerances are metPerform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustmentsTroubleshoot machining issues and report equipment or quality concerns to supervisorsMaintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety standardsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required2+ years of CNC machining experience (lathe and/or mill preferred)Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerancesExperience with precision measuring toolsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materialsPreferred SkillsCNC machine setup and changeover experienceBasic knowledge of G-code and program adjustmentsExperience working with industrial equipment or heavy machinery
