CNC Machinist/Programmer

CNC Machinist/ProgrammerKelly Services is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to support specialty tooling and die-and-mold production. The successful candidate will program, set up, operate, and inspect CNC-machined components while troubleshooting processes and supporting continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesProgram, set up, and operate CNC milling machines, including Okuma, Haas, Nidec, and Toyoda equipment.Create and maintain programs using Mastercam, G-code, and M-code.Read blueprints and use AutoCAD Mechanical and Autodesk Inventor.Select tooling, fixtures, workholding methods, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies.Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height indicators, probing systems, and other precision tools.Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs or setups as needed.Support safety, quality, production schedules, and process improvements.Provide technical guidance to less experienced machinists when needed.QualificationsPreferred minimum of 8 years of CNC machining experience; candidates with 5–6 years may be considered with strong technical experience.Strong hands-on CNC milling experience required.Two to five years of CNC programming experience preferred.Proficiency with G-code, M-code, CNC setup, feeds and speeds, tooling, and machining strategy.Ability to inspect parts to tight tolerances, including ±0.002 inches when required.High school diploma or equivalent required.Technical certificate, trade school training, or Associate degree preferred.Strong blueprint reading, math, troubleshooting, communication, and decision-making skills.Must be available for either listed shift.
