Job TitleLong term contract to direct, 40-45 hours per week.ResponsibilitiesProduce machined parts by setting up, and operating a mill and/or computer numerical control (CNC) machinePlan machining by studying work orders and blueprintsSet up mills by tramming/indicating vices and/or work materialMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsMaintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirementsMaintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needsReview 3D CAD designDetermine steps for programming including where materials should be cutConvert instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) programDetermine job order and perform associated calculationsCompose programs and revise existing ones for increased efficiencyQualificationsExperience with CNC machining and programmingExperience running Tarus 3+2 and/or 5 axis Doosan (DN) or Hermle preferredProgramming experience required with WorkNCFamiliarity with Fanuc or Heidenhain controllersPreferred QualificationsExperience in aerospace, automotive or defense is a plus
