CNC Machinist 1st ShiftDirect Start is working with a leading manufacturing company that specializes in producing high-quality precision parts for a variety of industries. We are currently seeking a skilled machinist to join our team and contribute to our continued success. All of the programming is done offline so candidates don't necessarily need to know MasterCam or Gibbs programming, but they need to have a full understanding of G&M code.Position Overview:This is a job shop and you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts.

We are looking for Machinists not operators.Key Responsibilities:Lathes:5 years experience with Roll building.Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machine set-up and production methodsSet up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specificationsInspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments as neededTroubleshoot and resolve any issues with machines or parts, ensuring minimal downtimeMaintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and proceduresCollaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production and timely delivery of ordersContinuously seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiencyMills:5 years experience setting up machine including tooling.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of experience as a machinist, preferably in a manufacturing environmentProficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprintsExperience with manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grindersStrong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workFamiliarity with precision measuring tools and instrumentsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processesKnowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing settingWe Offer:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for growth and advancement within the companyA collaborative and supportive work environmentState-of-the-art equipment and technologyOngoing training and development opportunitiesIf you are a skilled machinist looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this position at Direct Start.
