If you're looking for a workplace where your skills are valued, your growth is supported, and your contributions truly matter, Steel Tool & Engineering is the place to be.What We Need From YouAs a CNC Machinist, you set up, program, and operate CNC machines with expert precision, ensuring components meet technical specifications. Each day, you configure machines, load materials, and oversee machining processes while modifying programs for optimal performance. You inspect finished parts with micrometers and calipers, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance, all while maintaining safety standards. Along the way, you bring strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to make your own tools, and the know-how to run Horizontal and/or VTL lathes, all while mentoring others and consistently meeting tight tolerances.Strong troubleshooting skillsExcellent attendanceAbility to identify non-conforming partsAbility to make your own tools (example: chuck jaws or fixtures), specific to your jobsAbility to form cooperative relations with your supervisorAbility to consistently work to tight tolerancesAbility to lift 50 lbsAbility to meet productivity requirementsAbility to communicate and counsel other operators in the departmentAbility to set up and run horizontal and/or VTL lathes, programming is a plus!Your Next StepApplying is quick and simple!
