Job Position SummaryYou will be responsible to set up and run parts, and then inspect your work and if needed make adjustments to produce a quality part.You Must Have:A high school diploma or equivalent. Tech school preferred.3+ years experience operating a CNC lathe machineExperience in the aerospace industryStrong attention to detailsBasic computer skillsThe ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicatorsThe ability to set tools and enter offsets into machine controlThe ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and company operation sheetsThe ability to effectively communicate both written and verballyThe ability to follow set up instructions, set up, and operate machine controlsThe ability to troubleshoot machinesThe ability to follow set up instructions including setting up boring jaws, mounting face plates with fixturingSkilled in performing precision work on parts that present complex configurations and close tolerance between interrelated surfacesThe ability to work overtime, including weekendsIn Your Role, You Will:Follow safety culture and wear PPE when requiredOperate a CNC lathe machinePerform precision work on parts with close tolerance between interrelated surfacesFollows ops sheets and written or verbal instructions for product specificationsOperate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentationObserves overall operation and performs regular daily maintenance on equipment and work areaVerify and visually inspect your work and dimensions per operations sheet to specificationFill out production paperwork and inspection procedures as requiredMaintain specifications by troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools, observing tooling; taking measurements; detecting malfunctionMaintain a clean organized work areaWorking ConditionsNormal production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forkliftsMay be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilitiesPhysical Requirements:Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lensesMay have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as requiredMust be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of timeMonday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
