CNC MachinistTrain on first shift (Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm) then transition to second shift (Monday through Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:30am).Job DescriptionSummary/ObjectiveThe CNC machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC machinist performs set up tasks, loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.1. Creates part identification tags2. Recognizes and loads correct tooling into lathe, mill, or 5 axis3. Describes correct tool data from set up sheet4.
Teach tool offsets5. Loads fixtures/work holding6. Sets up and edits bar feeder when applicable7. Finds work piece coordinates8. Cycles and measures first piece9. Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.Competencies1.
