CNC Machinist I

CNC Machinist IOperates both manual and CNC equipment for the efficient production of quality components. Responsible for the production of high-tolerance precision parts.This is a day shift position. Rotating days.Pay: $26.00 per hour plus bonus and benefits.What You'll Do as a CNC Machinist I• Interpret technical prints.• Setup, operate and adjust machining equipment for production efficiency with supervision.• Monitors quality of parts produced to ensure customer requirements are met.• Abides by all Company safety and health policies and procedures.• Must use personal protective equipment if required.• Aware of and conforms to company ISO goals and objectives, and supports company ISO requirements.• Aware of and actively participates in company's Lean philosophy of continuous improvement.• Ensures measuring devices used to check product quality are calibrated prior to use.• Maintains in-process product identification.• Follows procedure for handling nonconforming partsThe Experience, Skills and Abilities NeededRequired:• High school diploma or equivalent• Vocational/Technical - CNC Machining degree or• Minimum one plus years CNC Machine operation• Knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, ExcelPreferred:Vocational/Technical CNC Machining, Machine/Tool Technology degreeMinimum two to three years CNC Machining operationData entry system experienceCAM software reading experienceExperience reading and interpreting technical drawingsWhat STERIS OffersWe value our employees and are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports your health, well-being and financial future.
