CNC MachinistHiFyve is hiring a CNC Machinist in the Precision Machining industry!Pay: $25 - $35/hourShift: 2nd 4 10 hour shifts Mon-Thurs 3 PM - 1:30 AMLocation: On-site in Grand Rapids, MNPosition Overview:HiFyve is partnering with an established precision machining manufacturer seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to support programming, setup, troubleshooting, and production activities across CNC milling and turning operations.Key Responsibilities:Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for precision machined componentsSet up and operate CNC Mazak mills and lathesDevelop efficient tool paths, feeds, and speeds for a variety of materialsSelect tooling and machining strategies based on part geometry and tolerance requirementsTroubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issuesInspect parts using precision measuring equipment and verify dimensional requirementsRead and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specificationsSupport process improvement initiatives and reduction of machine downtimeAssist with training and mentoring operators and less experienced machinistsPerform routine machine maintenance and report equipment concernsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Previous CNC machining experience requiredExperience setting up and operating Mazak equipment preferredExperience creating and editing CNC programsMastercam and/or SolidWorks CAD/CAM experience preferredStrong understanding of GD&T and blueprint readingAbility to optimize machine performance and improve cycle timesExperience working with complex machined componentsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsReliable attendance and strong work ethicBenefits:4-day work week option availableCompetitive compensation based on experienceStable and growing manufacturing environmentOpportunity to work with advanced CNC equipment and complex components
