The CNC Machinist will interpret blueprints and technical drawings, load and unload materials, verify dimensions using precision measuring tools, and ensure finished parts meet quality standards. This role also includes routine machine maintenance, inventory support, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.We are excited to announce that DeGeest is opening a second location in Northwest Sioux Falls beginning in June. This position will have the opportunity to work between our main facility in Tea or our new Sioux Falls location as operations expand, supporting production and growth across both sites.Shift: Our shop hours for this position are 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday (You can get your 40 hours in during this window of time, and overtime is available)Key responsibilities include:Setting up and operating CNC machining equipmentLoading and unloading raw materials and finished partsReading and interpreting blueprints and technical specificationsMeasuring and verifying part dimensions using precision toolsInspecting finished products for quality compliancePerforming routine machine maintenanceMaintaining a clean and organized work environmentSupporting inventory and production needs as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred4+ years of CNC machining experience requiredStrong knowledge of metal fabrication processesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsExperience using precision measuring toolsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materialsMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsRequired Skills:Strong attention to detail and focusAbility to learn new technology and processesEffective time management and prioritization skillsCommitment to continuous improvement and the DeGeest Stronger StandardStrong communication skills (read, write, and speak English)Ability to work in changing priorities and fast-paced environmentsUnderstanding of safety procedures and requirementsAbility to perform physical work in a manufacturing environmentWhy Join DeGeest Corporation?
