CNC Machinist/OperatorThe CNC Machinist/Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machine tools to fabricate parts and components for industrial or commercial use. This role requires precise attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work from blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.Key Responsibilities:Operate and set up a variety of machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, drills) to produce high-precision metal or plastic parts.Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the dimensions and tolerances of the parts to be produced.Choose the correct cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on the materials being worked with and the specifications provided.Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to ensure parts meet the required dimensions and tolerances.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure proper function. Report any mechanical issues or breakdowns to supervisors.Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet high-quality standards, performing final checks before parts are sent to assembly or finished product stages.Adjust machine settings to optimize performance, including correcting or making changes to tolerances during production runs.Identify and resolve machining issues such as incorrect dimensions, tool wear, or machine malfunctions.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years' experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of machine tools and their operation, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.Experience with precision measurement tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine tools, parts, or production processes.A high level of precision and accuracy when machining parts to ensure quality standards are met.Strong understanding of machining processes and maintenance.High school diploma or equivalent.
