If you can read blueprints and run machines with confidence, this is a great opportunity to join a strong manufacturing team!What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!CNC Machinist Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 26.22 to $ 47.00 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 03:00pm to 11:00pm)Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to produce parts that meet quality requirements.Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and drill presses, to support production needs.Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to inspect and verify part dimensions.Assist with machine setups, tooling changes, and process adjustments to maintain efficient workflow and product quality.Perform basic rework, modifications, and repairs on components while following established procedures.Follow all safety requirements, manufacturing standards, and company policies to ensure a safe and productive work environment.Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with team members to support operational goals.CNC Machinist Qualifications:1-2 years minimum experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role within the last 3 yearsHigh School Diploma and longevity at previous positions requiredAbility to read blueprints and technical drawingsExperience using measuring tools and knowledge of GD&TBasic computer skillsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to run machines independentlyWilling to travel when necessary, train on day shift, then move to swing shiftPay will be based on experience and include a $3 differentialApplicant may be subject to a background checkApplicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle ReportPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
