These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, and grinders.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations.Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications using precision measuring instruments.Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, programming, and tooling.Select and load appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials into the CNC machine.Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain part quality and production rates.Recommended QualificationsProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.Demonstrated ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills and/or lathes.Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming; experience with CAM software a plus.Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.) to ensure part quality.Knowledge of various metals and materials, cutting tools, and machining parameters.Adherence to safety protocols and quality control standards in a manufacturing environment.Bonus QualificationsExperience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)Proficiency in using various measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore gauges) for quality controlAbility to perform preventative maintenance on CNC machineryForklift certificationPrior experience with 5-axis machiningJob Titles That Should ApplyCNC Machinist, CNC Operator, CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist Programmer, CNC Lathe Operator, CNC Mill Operator, Machinist, Machine Operator, Precision Machinist, CNC Technician, Manufacturing TechnicianWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
