They are working on some really exciting projects including parts and components for the James Web Telescope, the Mars Rover, the DART mission, and more.If you have previous CNC Mill or CNC Lathe set-up and operation experience, and a drive to learn and grow with a company long-term, this position could be the perfect fit.CNC Machinist II/III Responsibilities:Understand work orders, blueprints, manufacturing orders, and machining parametersMaintain specifications; Troubleshoot, detect malfunctions and take appropriate actions; Know when to replace worn toolsListen to machine operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problemsMeasure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, fixtures and knowledge of GDT standardsMaintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as any necessary further stepsSchedule:Monday – Friday1st shift: 6:00am – 3:00pm2nd shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pmCNC Machinist II/III Requirements:3+ years of CNC Machining experience including full set-up and operationKnowledge of various inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gagesUnderstanding of cutting tool Geometry, Geometric Dimensional Tolerancing, and tooling and coordinationHighschool Diploma or GEDCompensation:$34 - $46/hr.+$2/hr.
