Machinist PositionWe're looking for someone who takes pride in producing quality work and getting the details right. In this hands-on machining role, you'll be working in a shop where precision matters, teamwork is valued, and problem-solving is part of everyday life.If you enjoy the challenge of creating programs, machining complex configurations and want to be part of a team committed to doing things the right way, you'll fit in well here.ResponsibilitiesThe roleYou'll be setting up and running both standard and CNC machine shop equipment, creating programs, and making sure parts meet spec before they leave your station. It's not just loading and pressing go—you'll have ownership over your work.What you'll doSet up and run CNC and manual machining equipmentWrite and adjust CNC programs based on part requirementsRead and interpret blueprints (simple through to more detailed)Inspect parts using visual and dimensional checks to ensure qualityBuild simple jigs and fixtures when neededKeep your workspace clean and organized using 6SFollow all safety procedures—no shortcuts hereSupport the wider team and pick up additional tasks as requiredQualificationsAbout you / what you'll bringHigh school diploma (or equivalent)Machinist training or solid experience in a machine shopConfidence setting up machines and working with CNC programsGood understanding of geometry and basic trigonometryAbility to read technical drawingsA practical problem solver who can think throughTeam players rely on each other hereReliable, organized, and steady in your approachStrong focus on safety and qualityWhat you'll getSchedule: Monday–Thursday 2:30 p.m.
