CNC Machinist-1st ShiftOak Lawn, Illinois, United StatesAbout the Job CNC Machinist-1st ShiftWe are growing and we're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our 1st shift team (Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) in our custom job shop. From prototype development to final assembly, our machinists are a key part of turning ambitious ideas into reality.Job Responsibilities:Set-up, program, and operate CNC equipment, including Hurco 5-axis, Hurco 3 & 4-axis, Hurco TMM10, G&L, Haas, and moreOccasionally work with manual mills and lathes Bullard VTL experience is a plusMachine high-precision parts to tight tolerances following blueprints, travelers, and GD&T requirementsInspect parts for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as neededTroubleshoot machining challenges and contribute to continuous improvement effortsCollaborate with engineering, welding, and assembly teams, especially during prototype buildsTrain and support less experienced machinists as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentJob Skills & Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or degree preferred5+ years of CNC machining experience in a job shop environmentStrong CAM programming experience (5+ years, Fusion 360 preferred)Manual machining skills; Bullard VTL experience a plusAbility to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&TSkilled with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring toolsStrong problem-solving skills, independence, and a solid work ethicAble to stand, bend, and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. throughout a shiftClear verbal and written communication in EnglishWhat's in it for you?Competitive pay with overtime opportunitiesPaid, on-the-job trainingComprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with matchTuition reimbursement for continued learningJob security over 55 years of proven success in custom manufacturingA collaborative, high-energy environment where every person makes a differenceNon-union shop culture focused on teamwork and growth
