CNC Machinist 1The CNC Machinist 1 is responsible for operating CNC lathe equipment to manufacture precision parts that meet dimensional and quality specifications. This role includes machine setup adjustments, inspection, deburring, cleaning, and maintaining accurate production and quality records. The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC machining experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality precision componentsMonitor machine performance and ensure proper operation by changing inserts, tool holders, skimming jaws, and performing routine adjustmentsInspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and other measuring instruments to verify compliance with specificationsPerform dimensional offsets and monitor tool wear to maintain product accuracyDeburr, clean, and prepare finished parts for the next stage of productionComplete quality control documentation and inspection records accuratelyIdentify production or quality issues and communicate concerns to the supervisor promptlyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentPerform additional production-related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or Trade School certification requiredMinimum 1 year of CNC machine operator experience preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExperience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometersStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to work independently and follow production proceduresPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentAbility to stand, sit, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periodsFrequent use of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationAbility to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds occasionallyAbility to work with objects below, at, and above shoulder levelComfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levelsAbility to observe fine details at close rangeCommitment to workplace safety and safe handling of mechanical and electrical equipmentPreferred SkillsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to maintain production efficiency while meeting quality standardsGood communication and teamwork skills
