Job TitleNC ProgrammerJob DescriptionJanicki Industries is a private and family-owned business based in Washington State with a Layton, Utah, facility. The Layton Utah facility specializes in machining the largest most complex structures built from carbon fiber composites and aluminum for the aerospace and space exploration markets. At Janicki, we work on complex parts and assemblies for aerospace and space exploration markets.This position is located on-site in Layton, Utah.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe NC Programmer plans machining sequences and fixturing for 3-5 axis machine tools.The following essential job functions are performed as an NC Programmer:Determines methods, cutter types and cutting parameters depending on a variety of materials (composites, epoxies, steel, aluminum, etc.) and design specificationsDesigns 3-D computer models, drawings and specifications for fabrication of fixturing elementsCreates 3-5 axis tool paths utilizing Unigraphics CAD/CAM software, preferably Simens NXProvides input in production tracking softwareWorks with process engineers on planning of manufacturing process to ensure that quality and design objectives are achievedCreates shop documentation for setup of the machines complying with ISO 9000 standardsAnalyzes laser-tracking data to assure quality of the setup, when applicableWorks with the machinists to make sure setup and machining procedures are followedPerform tool path verification using Vericut softwareGeneral knowledge of standard G-Code language, machine offsets, and part locationSetup and operate the following equipment.

CNC and manual mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, waterjets and band sawsComposite and Metallics MachiningReads and understands engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, and work ordersAccurate use of precision measuring instruments (ie: micrometers, calipers, etc,) and working to tight tolerancesVisually inspect and deburr parts. Attention to detail and quality is requiredPerforms other duties as assignedBehavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.QualificationsMUST BE U.S. CITIZEN OR LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT FOR THIS POSITION.Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or GED required, college level or trade school education preferredFive or more years of experience in related field may be substituted for educationMust have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English languageAdditional InformationWage range for this role is between $27 - $58 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay.
