CNC Machine OperatorsPay: $26.00 – $33.00 per hourJob description:$ Sign on Bonus6pm to 6am Rotating 12 hr shifts.Job CharacteristicsSet up, operation, changeover and shut down of all CNC lathesRead shop packs to match tool ID with quantity, material, cut, operations to follow, etc.Identify and load corresponding program for each jobRegularly monitor product quality and make offsets as neededMonitor shift handoffs responsibly to minimize machine downtimeInspect dimensions of all tools – must be able to match to print and specs provided on shop packsInspect quality of all tools – must be able to inspect for dimensional tolerance and aesthetic toleranceUse tape measures, rulers, dial/digital calipers, optical comparators (shadow graph) and depth gauges to ensure precisionKeep accurate and detailed paperwork; ability to read and interpret shop printsComplete tasks typically managed by CNC Utility (material handler) in their absence, including (but not limited to) chamfer and load steel bars into bar feeders, discard scrap, wash product, etc.Train other operators as needed, e.g. on the job training, shadowing, machine set up and changeover education, program checks, etc.Ability to troubleshoot problems arising out of normal operation of lathes; maintenance functions include (but are not limited to) changing oil, replacing inserts and collets, program checks, etc.Perform regular (daily/weekly/monthly/yearly) maintenance per machine schedules, such as motor replacements, machine rebuilds, etc.Read, edit and interpret G- & M-code with sufficient proficiency to control movements and speed of lathes, including ability to customize written code to tailor to clients' needsOversees CNC operation in the absence of CNC SupervisorParticipate in training new employees when neededRequired SkillsCollaboration with CNC workers and supervisor as neededPrioritizes tasks and delegates responsibilities in absence of Maintenance SupervisorBasic computer familiarity (file selection, OS operation, etc.)Strong organization and time management skills while multitaskingClose attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentWritten and verbal English communication skills; ability to compute simple arithmeticAble to work with a team to accomplish company goalsStrict attention and adherence to safety guidelines including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE)Willingness to keep and maintain a clean and safe work environmentAdherence to attendance policyRequired Education/ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years' experience as a CNC machine operatorPreferred Education/ExperienceManagerial experience or experience leading teamsExperience with Swiss lathes highly preferredAssociate's degree or machining program certificationExperience or certification driving forkliftsExperience or certification operating hoistsExperience with WinCNC or ShopVue5+ years' experience as a CNC machine operatorJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person
