CNC Machine Operator (Milling – Fanuc Controls)The CNC Machine Operator (Milling – Fanuc Controls) will support the machining processes used in the manufacturing of company products by operating CNC milling machines and ensuring consistent production of quality parts. This role focuses on running established jobs, monitoring machine performance, and maintaining quality standards in a production environment. This position will primarily support vertical machining centers (VMCs), including Bridgeport GX510 machines or similar equipment, operating on Fanuc controls.Location: Plainville, Connecticut.

This position is 100% on site, Monday through Friday with overtime available (1st shift: 7:00am–3:30pm).Responsibilities:Operate CNC milling machines, including Bridgeport GX510 or similar vertical machining centersWork with Fanuc controls to load and run programs as directedLoad and unload parts and ensure proper placement in fixturesMonitor machine cycles to ensure parts are produced efficiently and within quality standardsFollow established setup sheets, work instructions, and process documentationPerform in-process inspections using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and fixturesMake minor adjustments (such as offsets or tool changes) within defined guidelinesIdentify and report machine issues, alarms, or quality concerns to supervision or setup personnelMaintain production pace to meet schedule and delivery requirementsPerform routine cleaning and basic machine careMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaShare information and communicate effectively with team membersFollow all applicable safety rules and precautionsPerform other job-related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the futureMust be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulationsPreferred Qualifications:1–3 years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferredExperience operating CNC machines; familiarity with Fanuc controls preferredAbility to read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructionsAbility to use standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environmentFamiliarity with CNC milling machines (VMCs) such as Bridgeport, Haas, or similarBasic understanding of machining processes and materialsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood communication and teamwork skillsMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnWorking Conditions:Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floorOccasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.Acknowledgements:The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
