Read and interpret blueprints, routers, and work instructions to ensure part conformance. Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards. Verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes throughout production runs. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping requirements. Use hand tools and perform deburring as required. Work closely with CNC Specialists and Production Manager to ensure customer requirements are met. Communicate effectively with team members.Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.Experience RequirementsThree years of experience operating CNC machines or production equipment. Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation. Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards. Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other inspection tools. Ability to adjust machine offsets as needed. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred QualificationsPrevious machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a CNC Machine Operator.
Experience with conversational controls and general machine shop equipment.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
