Machine operator 3 can complete changeovers unassisted. A Machine operator can read part drawings, take detailed measurements, and modify programs on machines using manual programming or programming software (Camworks).Primary responsibilities (essential functions):Ability to independently follow safety proceduresAbility to follow verbal instructions and visual work instructionsOperate equipment with no additional supportAble to maintain product throughput requirementsPerform basic machine maintenance on equipmentAbility to program CNC equipmentAbility to train others on the basic operation of equipmentAble to work with Manufacturing Engineering on parts drawingsSecondary responsibilities (marginal functions):Maintain a clean and organized work environmentAbility to recommend process improvementsAbility to maintain a clean work areaMinimum requirements:Must have High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent work ExperienceMust be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours in a shiftMust be able to perform repetitive motion using arms, hands, and wrists.Must be able to communicate in EnglishMust have good mechanical aptitudeMust be able to consistently lift up to 25lbs independentlyMust be able to team lift up to 100lbsSkills:Basic Computer SkillsBasic Math SkillsBasic Measuring SkillsCNC Programming SkillsPart Drawing ReadingWorking conditions:8-10 hours standing and movingLiftingSafety Glasses RequiredThis is intended to describe the general nature and level of work done by people assigned to this job.
