Duties:
* Read and interpret drawings, specifications, GD&T, and customer requirements .
* Plan out the most efficient machining process.
* Determine the best workholding and tooling for each job.
* Set up and program Lathe.
* Perform First Article inspection of parts, make necessary changes, then operate the job to completion.
* Create and maintain set up notes, work instructions, and inspection reports.
* Deburr parts if necessary.
* Prepare parts for subsequent operations, or clean and package for delivery.
Qualifications:
* Extensive experience with Mazak CNC lathes and bar feeders preferred .
* Strong understanding of CNC lathe tooling, workholding, speeds/feeds, and machining processes through a variety of metals and plastics.
* Ability to take a job from engineering drawing and raw material through setup, first article, and production with minimal supervision.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to stand and operate machine for hours at a time.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints on a variety of part types.
* Ability to fill out inspection reports.
