CNC Laser Operator

CNC Laser OperatorThe CNC Laser Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC laser cutting equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up jobs, monitoring production, inspecting parts, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.Duties and Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines (fiber or CO2)Load programs and adjust cutting parameters as neededLoad/unload material using forklifts or overhead cranesMonitor machine operation and make minor adjustmentsPerform first-article and in-process inspectionsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and cut sheetsPerform routine machine maintenance and cleaningMaintain accurate production and quality recordsFollow all safety procedures and shop standardsWork with supervisors and programmers to improve efficiencyOther duties assignedEducation:High School Diploma or GEDExperience:Previous CNC laser experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, tape measure, micrometers)Basic computer skillsStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeForklift or crane experience a plusUse proper personal protective equipmentPreferred Qualifications:Trumpf, Bystronic, Mitsubishi, Amada, Mazak or similar laser systemsSheet metal fabrication experienceNesting software or CNC programming knowledgeMust be able to complete a background check and pass a pre-employment drug test prior to starting and after offer is made.
