Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, providing direct assistance or communicating with appropriate staff.
• Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks.
• Maintain patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Manage and stock patient care supplies, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
• Participate in cost containment efforts and accurate patient service charging.
• Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
• Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Experience and Skills:

• No prior work experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong guest relations and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Flexibility in work tasks and schedules.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work variable shifts including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and turning patients.
• Visual and auditory acuity necessary for patient observation.
• Exposure to blood and body fluids with adherence to safety protocols.
