Responsibilities:
- Provide Level I-Level III care to clients, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility, gait training, and transfers using assistive devices
- Administer medications and perform wound care as needed
- Monitor and maintain client safety, reporting any concerns to supervisors or case managers
- Provide companionship, socialization, and caregiver respite to clients
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care and progress
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must hold a current N.C. unencumbered Nurse Aide I Certificate issued by the Division of Facility Services (Guidelines/Regulations per the NA I and Health Care Personnel Registry)
- Possession of a valid N.C. driver's license
- Reliable vehicle for travel to and from client homes
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a CNA or in a healthcare setting
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid
- Knowledge of local community resources and services
