nCNA – Job Opportunity
nWe have an established home healthcare and hospice agency and have multiple opportunities for a skilled CNA on a part-time basis working in multiple locations. We are very family oriented, and offer a hands on approach for patient care and family support. You will provide outstanding patient care and physical support for patients at their residence. CNA will need to be committed to weekly visits and be flexible if changes are needed to accommodate patient care. To do well in this role you should have your state-certified nursing assistant certification from a recognized CNA program.
nCNA Compensation: Ranging from $20 - $23 per visit (determined by experience)
nCNA Responsibilities:
nProviding great patient care.
nAnswering patient calls and determining how best to help them.
nProviding physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
nTurning and repositioning bedridden patients.
nEnsuring patients or residents receive appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
nObtaining a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions, treatment plans, and suggested activities.
nMeasuring and recording food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.
nRecording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff.
nExamining patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine.
nReminding patients to take medications and nutritional supplements.
nNoting observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.
nStay up to date on CNA training and facility policy and procedure.
nCNA Requirements:
nState Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
nCurrent CPR (American Heart Association).
nAbility to think and work independently and with direction, communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
nCurrent certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
nHigh School graduate or equivalent.
nCurrent identification.
nComfortable using a computer.
nExcellent personal hygiene.
