By connecting with The Pivot Group Network, you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and debug CMM programs for dimensional inspection of manufactured parts.Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to create inspection plans.Select appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies for various part geometries.Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using CMM.Analyze measurement data, troubleshoot programming issues, and ensure accuracy of results.Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to optimize inspection processes and resolve discrepancies.Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to standards.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in PC-DMIS software, including experience with CAD-based programming.Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and their application.Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.Experience with various CMM hardware platforms and probe systems.Demonstrated problem-solving skills related to measurement challenges and part fixturing.Familiarity with quality control systems and manufacturing processes.Bonus QualificationsExperience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) beyond basic model viewing.Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement.Ability to perform basic CMM maintenance and troubleshooting.Experience with other metrology tools (e.g., vision systems, laser trackers).Training or certification in GD&T beyond fundamental understanding.Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, CMM Programmer Analyst, Quality Inspector, Metrology Technician, Quality Technician, Dimensional Inspector, CNC CMM Programmer, Quality Control Programmer, CMM Operator Programmer, Manufacturing Quality ProgrammerWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
