CMM Programmer (PC-DMIS & Blue Light Scanning)Our client in Sterling Heights is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CMM Programmer to join our team in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that components and assemblies meet strict dimensional and quality standards through CMM programming and advanced 3D scanning technologies.What You’ll DoDevelop, edit, and run CMM programs using PC-DMISPerform first article, in-process, and final inspections on automotive componentsInterpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirementsSupport new program launches and engineering changesPrepare dimensional reports for PPAP submissionsOperate blue light scanning equipment for full 3D inspection and analysisPerform CAD-to-part comparisons and generate deviation reportsAssist with root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5 Whys)Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teamsMaintain calibration records and ensure measurement accuracyWhat We’re Looking ForDiploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field2–5+ years of CMM programming experience (automotive preferred)Strong experience with PC-DMISExperience with blue light or structured light scanning systemsSolid understanding of GD&T and blueprint readingExperience supporting PPAP, APQP, and automotive quality requirementsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsNice to HaveExperience with 3D inspection software (e.g., GOM Inspect)Familiarity with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standardsExperience working with OEM or Tier 1 suppliersKnowledge of SPC and MSAPay: $32 and up to $35 a hour DOEShift: 1st shiftAbout Cardinal Staffing: At Cardinal Staffing, a Surestaff Company, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
