We're looking to bring on a Quality Engineer at our location in Vernon, CT.Why Work with Us:Competitive hourly wage depending on experienceA solid benefits package including Health & Dental401k Plan with 50% company match on your contributions up to 8% of your pay with no vesting periodBonus Plan based on personal performance and annual profitsPaid Time Off and Sick TimeA clean working environment with a great company cultureSmall company environment where you can have a significant impact on the future of the organizationThe Position:Reporting to the Quality Manager, in this role you will be responsible for:Support all outgoing Quality Inspection requirements (End of line inspection)Collects data from the checking fixture according to the control planIdentify potential causes for process variationDevelop CMM programs for completed assemblies and component partsAssist in the performance of gauge studiesInspection of close tolerance parts, using CMM programs and precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc.Develop programs from blueprints, CAD models and operation sheetsAbility to work with operators, engineering and varying and changing shop schedulesSupport 1st piece Quality (buy-off) Inspection of all in-process components and sub-assembliesResponsible for all incoming Supplier Documentation (review and storage)Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Rockville Technology MRP systemSupport continuous improvement (CI) activities.
Generates non-conforming material reports and effectively communicates these both verbally and in written form.Calibrates shop and personal toolsAbout You:High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associate's in Engineering or related field is preferred; Effectively communicate via verbal, handwritten and electronic documents. Strong attention to detail; Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to create documents, reports and briefing materials in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Strong problem-solving skills; Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently; Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects; Ability to use technology effectively and efficiently to manage workload; Conceptual Skills, Verbal Communication, Attention to Detail, Judgment; Ability to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines; Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement; 3+ years of CMM programming experience using PCDMIS or CAMEO software in a high-speed machining environment. Must be a US Citizen.
