Our partnership with NGK is highly collaborative and complimentary.Essential DutiesAdvanced blueprint reading, GD&T & shop math (Trigonometry)Ability to review customer drawings for errors in GD&T and provide feedbackDevelop CMM programs in a virtual offline software using CAD based modelsResponsible for CMM program document change control managementAnalyze drawings, part specifications, tolerances, and design data to generate CMM programsReview and collaborate in the development of detailed manufacturing processes for machined partsRevise programs to improve programs and instructionsManage the control of programs and instructions per FMI ISO instructions and POR protocolsAssist with implementation of new technologies and process improvementsPeer Reviewing CMM programs from programmers within the companyDocument FMI standards for CMM Programming proceduresAssist with development and documentation of metrology BKMsPerform additional related duties as assignedComply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.Required Certifications, Licenses and RegistrationsASQ Certified Quality Inspector Certification desirableEducation and/or Experience Required3 - 5 years' experience programming Zeiss CMMs preferably in a machining environmentCertified training to ASME Y14.5:2009 preferredZeiss Calypso programming experience is required.Ability to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools including weight gauge, micrometer, caliper scale (linear), gauge blocks, thread gauges, and comparative standardsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to interact with fellow employees and customers in a professional mannerAbility to understand and follow instructionsIndependent; can work with limited supervision and directionNPI or R&D experience preferredCultureAt FM Industries our success is powered by people and technology.
